Lilias Grechetto (2024)

Lilias Grechetto (2024)

$35.00 AUD

Grechetto, a grape native to central Italy’s Umbria region, is known for its small, dense clusters and thick skins that preserve vibrant acidity in our mild climate. This uncommon Italian variety yields a full-bodied wine with a bright straw-yellow colour.

A cool, wet growing season delivered naturally vibrant acidity, shaping what we believe is our finest Grechetto to date. Whole-bunch pressed and fermented in seasoned oak without additions, the wine rested on lees for eight months and completed full malolactic fermentation before bottling with minimal sulphur. Aromas of white peach, preserved lemon and almond lead into a textured palate of pear skin and subtle spice. Bright acidity carries through to a savoury, gently phenolic finish with quiet depth and persistence.
